About PATA

Empowering Individuals and Therapists on the Path to Healing

The Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Association (PATA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the safe, ethical, and effective use of psilocybin-assisted therapy (PAT). Grounded in science and compassion, PATA provides education, resources, and advocacy to support both consumers and licensed mental health professionals. We believe psilocybin holds extraordinary potential to help individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma. Our model emphasizes a collaborative approach—pairing psychedelic professionals with licensed therapists—to prioritize consumer healing and mental health outcomes. Through public education, stigma reduction, clinical guidance, and harm-reduction practices, PATA empowers individuals and professionals to navigate the therapeutic use of psilocybin with integrity, safety, and care.

Supporting Those Who Serve

PATA recognizes that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Our approach respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and therapeutic goals of each individual—especially those navigating complex trauma like first responders. By equipping consumers with reliable tools, self-assessments, and therapist resources, we help bridge the gap between curiosity and clinical support. Whether you're exploring psilocybin for the first time or seeking guidance on integration, PATA is here to ensure your journey is informed, supported, and grounded in best practices.
